Movie Coming: August 7, 2009- Hope It's Good

I'm a girl from the 80s and GI Joe was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons along with He-Man, Dungeons & Dragons, Transformers, Thundercats, and early anime cartoons like Silver Hawks. My brother and I would sit every fall and wait to see what the new cartoons would be for the year. Those times are golden. They don't do Saturday morning cartoons any more. Cartoons have their own dedicated channel and you can watch all day long. My favorite character in the GI Joe cartoon was Snake Eyes. He just seemed so mysterious. I think if I remember correctly, there was a series where snake eyes had to take off his uniform but the person who saw him was blind. Anyway, I hope the makers of this movie do the franchise justice. I am kind of concerned seeing one of the Wayans brothers as part of the cast. Hopefully he does not act like an idiot and does some serious acting in this movie. I'd rather producers just leave the classics alone if they are not going to do the movies with the best accuracy and keeping fan's vision in mind as who they see the characters are. I look forward to seeing GI Joe this Friday on August 7, 2009. Wish I could bring a bowl of cereal to the theater and sit on the floor cross-legged like we used to at home. I have my fingers crossed.

P.S. I always thought that Cobra Commander was a whining punk. He always irritated me.
